SUNDAY 1 MARCH 2020

A big thank you to those that gave up their Sunday on March 1st to come along to our Clean Up Australia Day event.

We cleared up 5 bags of rubbish, 3 bags of recycling and 2 trailer loads of green waste from the small bushland reserve to the south of the Ararat Reserve playing fields, which forms part of the Bantry Bay Bushland Reserves. This reserve provides important habitat for local native fauna and is a major wildlife corridor connecting to Manly Warringah War Memorial Park and Forestville Park.

The cubs, scouts, siblings and friends had a great time testing out the gardening equipment Bunnings Belrose donated to us, and we enjoyed morning tea and lunch provided by Woolworths at Forestway.
Thank you to the Gauci and Marsden families for doing a run to Kimbriki with the green waste.

NEWS.....

On Thursday September 12th,  Frenchs Forest Scouts was fortunate to receive a helping hand from The Lendlease Foundation as part of its annual Community Day.

24 LendLease employees (and one keen son of an employee) volunteered their services , painting the outside of our hall, repairing parts of our driveway, clearing some overgrown garden areas and erecting our new fence and gate!

Thank you to one of our Cub Dad's, Dean Wayne, who co-ordinated the whole event and spent countless weekends, with his wife and cub son, Oscar, preparing for this day.

And I think you’ll all agree how great it looks.
